Ampelos is a narrow fjord-like bay on the southern part of Sithonia near Sikia. The place is exceptional: rolling hills with low vegetation and the eternal sound of the waves splashing on the defying rocky shore. This rough and lonely landscape is surprisingly interrupted by a pretty beach at the end of Ampelos bay.
This is a newly built complex of apartment houses located on a beautiful natural environment in Kalamitsi area in Sithonia. The place is characterized by the rocky hills, the big old trees and the aroma of the thyme and oregano bushes, so typical in this part of Sithonia.
Going further to the south of Sykia on the eastern part of Sithonia, you will notice a change in the terrain morphology. The place becomes harsh with less trees and abrupt rocks colliding with the waves of the Aegean. Rather unexpectedly, there is one last great beach there, at the southern tip of Sithonia. It is Kalamitsi.
Villa Doxa is a tastefully decorated villa at the outskirts of Sarti in Sithonia Halkidiki, offering comfortable and quality accommodation to the visitors. The place provides the necessary isolation from the noisy center of Sarti while being close to the beach and other places of interest.
This is s studio house literally located on Sarti beach. The sea is a few meters away and what a sea it is! Two rocky branches embrace a small patch of sand just in front of the house thus creating a private beach. On the horizon, the dominant figure of Athos is always there, a 2.000m mountain emerging from the Aegean waves.
Sarti is the main tourist resort of the east part of Sithonia. It is located just before Sikia, about 140km from Thessaloniki. It is built on a long sandy beach which faces the tip of Athos peninsula. The place was named after the ancient city of “Sarti” which existed in the area during the classical period. Some fortification remains of the ancient city may be seen south of the modern Sarti and close to Sikia.
It is difficult to believe that Sykia, located on a hard to find plateau, amongst treeless, inhospitable mountains, is the oldest and bigger town of Sithonia. The place has a wild, rough character which is reflected to the personality of the local people.
